Educational Access Visits

We have funding from our Countryside Stewardship Award to provide free farm visits to school groups or home-education groups.

We offer visits that are 2 hours long and can take up to 30 students from a school or 10 children as a home-education group. We have a minimum size of 5.

Our visits will teach your students about farming, food and conservation and can include other elements of the school curriculum at the same time. The sessions are tailored to the age group attending and your needs.

We are able to provide educational visits relating farming to conservation and food production. We can include hands-on activities with our sheep, hens and bees in these sessions. We can cover topics such as:

  • Why farming matters
  • Where our food comes from
  • Animal health care, including digestive systems
  • Water and soil management
  • Trees and hedgerows, including tree ID and hedgerow management
  • Biodiversity and conservation

In addition to these topics, we can incorporate elements linking to different parts of the school curriculum. The table below gives you an idea of some of the activities we can include.
